A mass Yoga session at PVKN Degree College on 9th June 2026

A mass yoga session was conducted at the PVKN Degree College Ground on 9th June 2026 from 6:30 AM to 8:00 AM, with the participation of around 500–800 students, faculty, and community members. The event was graced by Gurajala Jagan Mohan, MLA, and Rajendhran, Joint Collector. The mass session, including yoga asanas, pranayama, and meditation, was conducted to promote health and well-being. The programme highlighted the importance of adopting yoga as a regular practice for a healthy and harmonious life.

  • The programme was graced by the presence of Mr. Gurajala Jagan Mohan, MLA, and Mr. Rajendhran, Joint Collector, who addressed the gathering and encouraged students and the public to adopt yoga as a regular practice for achieving a healthy and balanced lifestyle.
  • The theme of the programme, “Yoga for Better Health and Harmony,” was introduced, highlighting the role of yoga in promoting a healthy lifestyle and disease prevention by the yoga team.
  • A mass yoga session was conducted under the guidance of yoga instructors, during which participants practiced various yoga asanas, Pranayama, and meditation techniques.
  • Health education was provided regarding the benefits of yoga, including stress management, improved flexibility, enhanced concentration, and overall wellness.
  • Approximately 500–800 students, faculty members, and community participants attended the programme and actively participated in all activities.

mhGAP-IG 2.0 Mobile Application Launch Launch of Electronic Mental Health Gap Action Programme – Intervention Guide (mhGAP-IG 2.0) Mobile Application on 10 June, 2026 at Dr. PCRKC Boardroom, The Apollo University, Chittoor

Apollo College of Nursing, Chittoor, in collaboration with the School of Technology, The Apollo University. Successfully organized the launch of the WHO e-mhGAP-IG 2.0 Mobile Application. The event marked an important milestone in the project, showcasing the successful development of a digital platform designed to support evidence-based mental health assessment, management, and referral. The programme highlighted the integration of healthcare expertise and technological innovation to strengthen mental health service delivery and improve access to quality mental health care.

  • Dr. T. Jayanthi, Principal, Apollo College of Nursing, Chittoor, welcomed the gathering and highlighted the significance of the WHO e-mhGAP-IG 2.0 Mobile Application in strengthening mental health service delivery through healthcare and technology collaboration.
  • Ms. K. Kiranmayi, Assistant Professor, AIIMS Raebareli, Uttar Pradesh, presented the global relevance of WHO e-mhGAP-IG 2.0, the need to address mental health service gaps, and the development journey of the project and mobile application.
  • Dr. Vivekanandan, Associate Professor, School of Technology, The Apollo University, explained the application architecture, hybrid mobile and web-based platform, cloud-based infrastructure, and key technological features.
  • Dr. H. Vinod Bhatt, Vice Chancellor, The Apollo University, officially launched the WHO e-mhGAP-IG 2.0 Mobile Application and discussed future directions including collaboration with NIMHANS, long-term sustainability, multilingual adaptation, periodic updates, data confidentiality, and scalability.
  • Dr. Nithin M. Nagarkar, Designate Vice Chancellor, The Apollo University, congratulated the project team and appreciated the collaborative efforts of Apollo College of Nursing and the School of Technology.
  • Dr. Vivekanandan and the School of Technology student developers shared their experiences regarding the application development process, technical innovations, challenges encountered, and student contributions.
  • Mr. Krishna, Research Faculty, demonstrated the WHO e-mhGAP-IG 2.0 Mobile Application, including assessment modules, management support, referral pathways, learning resources, report-generation features, and the paper-based module developed using the same algorithm.
  • Mr. Krishna also presented the project objectives, training of Primary Health Centre staff, intervention implementation process, major milestones achieved, and feedback obtained during the implementation phase.
  • Dr. Nithin M. Nagarkar, Dr. K. R. John, Dr. Sirshendu Chaudhuri, Prof. Meenakshi, faculty members, and student developers from the School of Technology, The Apollo University, joined virtually and graced the launch programme.

Surya Namaskaram Yoga Challenge – International Yoga Day 2026

As part of the International Yoga Day 2026 celebrations, the Yoga and Meditation Club of The Apollo Knowledge City organized the AKC Surya Namaskar Challenge on 16 June 2026 at Astra AKC. The event aimed to promote physical fitness, mental well-being, discipline, and the practice of yoga among students and faculty members.

  • The students assembled at the venue by 7:30 AM and completed the registration process. The programme commenced at 8:00 AM with an introductory session emphasizing the significance of International Yoga Day and the benefits of practicing Surya Namaskar for physical and mental well-being. 
  • The participants began the session with warm-up yoga exercises to prepare their bodies for the challenge. Following the warm-up session, the yoga instructors demonstrated the complete Surya Namaskar sequence twice, explaining the correct posture, breathing techniques, and alignment for each step.
  • After the demonstration, the Surya Namaskar Challenge officially commenced. All participants enthusiastically performed 12 rounds of Surya Namaskar, displaying discipline, stamina, and concentration throughout the event. The performances were carefully observed and evaluated by the instructors and judges.
  • Upon completion of the challenge, the results were announced, and 10 students from the Third Semester B.Sc. Nursing programme were shortlisted for the second round based on their technique, consistency, and overall performance. The shortlisted candidates were appreciated for their dedication and excellence in performing the Surya Namaskar sequence.
  • Among the participants, Ms. Naziya secured Second Place in the Surya Namaskar Challenge, bringing recognition and pride to the Department of Nursing. The programme concluded successfully at 9:30 AM with the announcement of winners and a message encouraging students to incorporate yoga into their daily lives for better health and wellness

Farewell Day Celebration for 5th batch and SNA Pinning Ceremony-2026 held on 15th May,2026

Apollo College of Nursing, Chittoor organized the Farewell Day Celebration at the College Auditorium with great enthusiasm and joy. The program was arranged to bid a warm farewell to the outgoing students and to cherish the memorable moments shared throughout their academic journey.

  • The celebration commenced at 5.00 PM with a soulful Prayer Song presented by the V Semester choir

  • Welcome Dance performed by Jessica and team from III Semester, which added energy and excitement to the gathering.

  • Dr. Jinto Mathew, Vice Principal, formally introduced the Chief Guest, Prof. K. Bhaskar Reddy, Dean, Apollo Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences and School of Health Sciences, The Apollo University.

  • The Chief Guest Prof. K. Bhaskar Reddy addressed the gathering and motivated the students with his valuable insights and guidance for their future careers.

  • Ms. Ellen Angellin, Assistant Professor, welcomed the Guest of Honour, Dr. D. Jagadeesan, Professor and Dean (I/C), School of Technology, The Apollo University.

  • Dr. Jagadeesan delivered an inspiring message emphasizing leadership, dedication, innovation, and professional growth among nursing students.

  • The gathering was further enriched by the message delivered by Dr. T. Jayanthi, Principal, Apollo College of Nursing, Chittoor. Madam appreciated the achievements and efforts of the outgoing batch and encouraged them to uphold the values, ethics, and responsibilities of the nursing profession in their future endeavors.

  • A heartfelt speech was delivered by Ms. Varsha Krishnan, VII Semester representative, expressing gratitude towards fellow

  • The SNA Pinning Ceremony was conducted by Ms. Ellen Angellin, SNA Advisor and Mr.Karthik,Co-advisor marking the formal transfer of responsibilities to the newly elected Student Nurses’ Association bearers.

  • A video Presentation showcasing memorable moments of the 2021 Batch was screened, creating emotional and joyful moments among the audience.

  • A farewell speech by Ms. Geethu Priya, IV Year, who expressed her gratitude and shared her memorable experiences at the institution.

  • The celebration continued with cultural programs and games involving students from all batches. The performances added color and enthusiasm to the event and strengthened the bond among students and faculty members.

The Andhra Pradesh Nurses and Midwives Council, Vijayawada, organized the International Nurses Day – 2026 celebrations on 12th May 2026 at GMCANA Auditorium, Guntur Medical College, Guntur, under the theme “Our Nurses, Our Future: Empowered Nurses Save Lives.” The programme brought together nursing professionals, faculty members, students, healthcare administrators, and dignitaries to celebrate the contribution of nurses towards strengthening healthcare services and promoting professional excellence.

 
  • The programme commenced with participant registration at 9:00 AM, with active participation from nursing faculty, officers, students, and delegates from various nursing institutions across Andhra Pradesh.
  • Scientific Paper Presentation and Case Study Presentation sessions were conducted, encouraging evidence-based learning, innovative research sharing, and professional interaction among participants.
  • Ms. Lekhya from Apollo College of Nursing, Chittoor secured the Third Prize in the Scientific Paper Presentation competition, bringing recognition to the institution.
  • A panel discussion based on the theme “Our Nurses, Our Future: Empowered Nurses Save Lives” highlighted the importance of leadership, advanced clinical skills, education, mental health support, and policy participation for nurses.

Scientific Paper Presentation and Case Study Presentation

At around 10:45 AM, the Scientific Paper Presentation and Case Study Presentation sessions were conducted for the selected participants. Students and faculty members presented innovative research findings, evidence-based practices, and clinically significant case studies related to nursing and healthcare. The sessions encouraged scientific thinking, professional interaction, and knowledge sharing among participants. Tea and snacks were provided to all attendees at 11:00 AM.

The programme included several important events and dignitary interactions as highlighted in the official invitation card. Distinguished guests, special invitees, government officials, healthcare administrators, and nursing leaders graced the occasion and inspired the gathering with their valuable presence and guidance.

Lunch Break

A lunch break was organized from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, during which participants interacted and exchanged academic ideas and professional experiences.

Following lunch, a panel discussion was organized based on the theme “Our Nurses, Our Future: Empowered Nurses Save Lives.” The discussion emphasized the importance of empowering nurses through education, leadership, advanced clinical skills, mental health support, and policy participation. Experts and dignitaries shared insights on strengthening nursing services and improving patient care delivery across healthcare settings.

World Environment Day

  • The World Environment Day programme was organized to create awareness about environmental protection and sustainable living.

  • Inaugural Address: Mr. Devendra Babu VII Sem delivered the inaugural address. He emphasized the need for environmental protection, pollution control, and sustainable practices to ensure a healthy future.

  • Rally and Awareness Programme: Students, faculty members, and staff actively participated in an environmental awareness rally. Participants carried placards with slogans such as “Save Trees, Save Life,” “Reduce Plastic Pollution,” and “Go Green for a Better Future.” The rally passed through nearby streets and residential areas, spreading awareness about environmental conservation. Students encouraged the public to plant trees, reduce waste, and maintain clean surroundings.

  • The World health day programme was observed in the 2nd Year classroom of Apollo College of Nursing, Chittoor, and commenced with a prayer song by the College Choir.

  • The Welcome Address was delivered by Ms. priscilla of 3rd semester, who emphasized the importance of helath and its awareness

  • Mrs. Madhavi, Lecturer, unfolded the theme “together with health: stand with science “highlighting the need for individualized care, emotional support, and community involvement in maintaining health

  • A thought-provoking Panel Discussion was conducted by Ms. Sara sana and team (3rd Semester students), focusing on disease prevention strategies, lifestyle modifications, and the vital role of nurses and other health care proffesssionals in health promotion programmes and on the importance of health organizations .

  • The discussion also addressed common myths, stigma related to communicable diseases and the importance of promoting awareness programs at community and institutional levels.

  • The prizes were distributed to the winners of the Digital Poster Competition by Mrs. Tuasi, Associate Professor, Department of Community Health Nursing.

  • Active participation from students and faculty members made the programme informative and impactful.

Hypertension Day – Quiz & Slogan Competition @ DHH-AIMSR on 6th June,2025

Apollo College of Nursing, Chittoor actively participated in the Hypertension Day Quiz and Slogan Competition organized by DHH-AIMSR in observance of World Hypertension Day.

The program was aimed at strengthening awareness on hypertension prevention, early detection, and lifestyle-based management, in alignment with the objectives of the National Programme for Prevention and Control of Non-Communicable Diseases (NP-NCD) and the World Health Organization’s global action plan to reduce the burden of non-communicable diseases (NCDs).

This initiative also supported the college’s mission to prepare future nurses as active promoters of public health through interprofessional collaboration and evidence-based awareness practices.

  • The quiz competition was conducted in two phases.  

In the first round, all 25 nursing students from Apollo College of Nursing participated individually. Competing alongside MBBS and nursing students from other institutions, our students demonstrated outstanding performance, securing the top scores.

  • In the second round, participants were grouped into interdisciplinary teams, each consisting of two MBBS students and one nursing student.  
  • Mr. Alwin secured 1st place in the final round of the quiz competition. 
  • In addition, slogans created by our students were submitted online through the designated platform, and we are currently awaiting the results. 
  • Overall, the event was a highly engaging academic experience, fostering awareness on hypertension prevention and control, and promoting interdisciplinary learning and teamwork among future healthcare professionals. 

2nd stage ISO audit on 19th & 20th June,2025

Apollo College of Nursing had successfully completed 2nd stage ISO  audit

  • The meeting commenced with a welcome address by Dr. T. Jayanthi, Principal, ACONCT. 
  • This was followed by a formal address by Prof. H. Vinod Bhat, Hon’ble  Vice Chancellor, Apollo University.

International Yoga Day on 21st June – 2025 “Yogandhra”

Apollo College of Nursing, in collaboration with the Yoga Club – Apollo knowledge city, NSS Unit, AIMSR, and The Apollo University, organized International Yoga Day on 21st June 2025 as part of “YOGANDHRA.” The event witnessed the enthusiastic participation of over 1,000 students and staff at the AKC Ground. 

This Yoga Day celebration highlighted yoga’s ancient roots and its global impact. The theme for 2025, “Yoga for One Earth, One Health,” emphasized the interconnectedness between personal well-being and planetary health. 

The program was coordinated and organized by Dr. Jinto Mathew(Vice Principal), Prof. Leelavathi (Professor), Mrs. Priyanka (Tutor), and Mr.Ricky Bennet (Tutor). 

  • A series of events was held as part of Yogandhra / International yoga day 2025,  
  • Common training session of yoga was held on 30th May 25 at RTO office ground. 
  • Mandatory training session was held from 18th, 19th & 20th June 25 at Apollo Knowledge city ground. 
  • The grand finale of International Yoga day held on 21st June 25.

Faculty Picnic – Talakona, Tirupathi on 27th June, 2025

Apollo College of Nursing, Chittoor organized a Faculty Picnic to Talakona, Tirupati, as a gesture of appreciation following the successful completion of the ISO Audit.

  • The faculty members of Apollo College of Nursing, Chittoor, assembled at the college premises by 7:00 AM and departed together in the arranged transport, setting a joyful and enthusiastic tone for the day. 
  • A key highlight of the picnic was the collective cooking session, where faculty members actively participated in preparing meals. This collaborative effort transformed the activity into a delightful experience, fostering creativity and teamwork beyond the professional environment. 
  • The group then embarked on a refreshing trek through the forest trails surrounding Talakona, soaking in the lush greenery and crisp mountain air. A rejuvenating swim in the serene natural pool near the waterfalls added an adventurous and relaxing element to the day, making it one of the most memorable moments. 
  • Overall, the picnic provided a much-needed break from routine, strengthened interpersonal relationships, and promoted a spirit of unity among the faculty members.

Founder’s Day 2026 was celebrated on February 5, 2026, commemorating the birth anniversary of Dr. Prathap C Reddy, the visionary architect of modern Indian healthcare, Founder Chairman of Apollo Hospitals and Hon’ble Chancellor of The Apollo University.
The celebration was organized at the AKC Campus with a series of meaningful activities from January 31 to February 05, 2026, reflecting the values of service, innovation, compassion, and community development upheld by the founder.
Various academic, social service, environmental, and cultural activities were conducted involving faculty, students, and staff members.

Republic Day Report on 26.01.2026

The 77th Republic Day of India was celebrated with great patriotism and enthusiasm at The Apollo University, AKC Campus, on 26th January 2026. The programme commenced at 8:00 a.m. with the ceremonial flag hoisting by Dr. H. Vinod Bhat, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, TAU, followed by the National Anthem.

In his address, the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor highlighted the significance of the Indian Constitution, national unity, discipline, and the role of youth in nation-building. Faculty members, students, staff, and security personnel actively participated in the celebrations.

A well-organized march past by various platoons reflected discipline, coordination, and national pride. The event was further enriched by cultural performances showcasing patriotism, unity, and cultural diversity.

The programme concluded with cultural activities and refreshments, marking the occasion as a memorable and inspiring celebration.

Freshers & College Day 2026 Celebration

The Freshers Day and College Day Celebrations 2026 were organized by Apollo College of Nursing Chittoor on 12th March 2026 at AKC Ground. The program was conducted to warmly welcome the newly admitted students and to celebrate the academic and co-curricular achievements of the college. The event included welcome dance, speeches by dignitaries, prize distribution for academic and sports achievements, annual report presentation, freshers batch name declaration, ramp walk, and cultural performances. The program was successfully conducted with active participation from students, faculty, and management, creating a joyful and memorable experience for everyone.

  • The Freshers Day and College Day Celebrations 2026 were organized by Apollo College of Nursing Chittoor on 12th March 2026 at AKC Ground. The program aimed to welcome the new batch of students and celebrate the academic and co-curricular achievements of the institution.
  • The program commenced at 4:30 PM with a Welcome Dance performed by Ms. Aleena Biju and team from VII Semester, which created a joyful and energetic atmosphere. This was followed by the Welcome Address delivered by Ms. Varsha Krishnan (V Semester), who warmly welcomed the dignitaries, faculty members, and students.
  • The Message by the Dean, Dr. Mala Thayumanavan, Dean & Group Head – Nursing Education (AHET), highlighted the importance of dedication, discipline, and compassion in the nursing profession. Following this, Mr. Balraj S, Unit Head – AIMSR, delivered the Message by Unit Head, encouraging students to focus on academic excellence and professional growth.
  • The Chief Guest, Mrs. D. Usha Pannaga Veni, President, TNAI AP Branch, was introduced by Dr. Jinto Mathew, Vice Principal. The Chief Guest delivered an inspiring address emphasizing leadership, commitment, and service in nursing practice.
  • The Chief Guest was then felicitated by Dr. T. Jayanthi, Principal, and Dr. Mala Thayumanavan, Dean & Group Head – Nursing Education (AHET) as a token of appreciation.
  • The program continued with the Prize Distribution Ceremony, where prizes were awarded to students for their outstanding achievements in academics and sports. The session was coordinated by Mr. Ricky and Ms. Nripa.
  • Following this, the Annual Report of the institution was presented by Dr. T. Jayanthi, Principal, highlighting the academic progress, achievements, and activities of the college during the year.
  • The program was graced by the esteemed presence of Mr. Channglo, Senior Lecturer from Apollo Institute of Nursing, Bhutan; Mrs. Nirmala Margaret, Principal of CMC College of Nursing; Dr. Lokeshwari, Principal of Apollo College of Nursing, Aragonda; Dr. Ramya Ramakrishnan, Associate Dean of AIMSR; and Dr. Alfred J. Augustine, Dean of Apollo Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, who honored the occasion with their gracious presence and encouraged the students and faculty.
  • One of the most exciting moments of the event was the Freshers Batch Name Declaration, Video Presentation, and Ramp Walk, coordinated by Mr. Roshan and Mr. Alex Sibychen from the I Year Batch. This segment showcased the enthusiasm and creativity of the new students.
  • The program concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Dr. C. Silpa, Professor, expressing gratitude to the chief guest, management, faculty members, and students for making the event a grand success.
  • The celebration continued with Cultural Programs performed by students from all batches, which included dance, music, and other entertaining performances, creating a lively and memorable evening for everyone.

International Women’s Day 2026 Celebrations

Apollo College of Nursing enthusiastically and actively observed International Women’s Day 2026 with a week-long programme. “Give to Gain: Committed to Forging Gender Equality” was the theme of the year, NSS Units of the institutions, and Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) coordinated the events. The activities were carried out in accordance with the “Honoring the Warrior Within” Flagship Initiative of the AP State Women’s Commission. Apollo College of Nursing staff, faculty, and students took part in the series of events held from March 04 – March 09, 2026.

March 4 to March 7, 2026,

The Student Safety Report Release from March 4 to March 7, 2026, marked the beginning of the events. The report’s main focus was on campus safety for students. It described the Internal Complaints Committee’s function. The systems for filing complaints were also emphasized. The report raised awareness of student support services and safety precautions. The program encouraged students to ask for assistance when needed and to openly discuss safety concerns.

March 5, 2026

On March 5, 2026, a Women’s Rights and Safety Awareness Program was held. The program’s objectives were to inform students about their legal rights, safety precautions, available support systems and the significance of reporting harassment. The Chief Guest of the event, Dr. Ramya Ramakrishnan, Associate Dean, AIMSR, briefed the men and women to take equal responsibilities of safety, upliftment and roles to create a more holistic ecosystem in the society. Dr. Ramya also discussed the role that education and awareness play in empowering women. She urged pupils to be self-assured and accountable. She also stressed equality and respect in society. The resource person was Mrs. K. Naga Sowjanya, a sub-inspector from the Mahila Police Station in Chittoor. She gave an explanation of the laws protecting women. She protecting women. She also discussed how to file a complaint. She talked about students’ personal safety and cyber safety. Students actively listened to the session and clarified their doubts.
The Campus Ambassadors Program was launched on March 5 and 6, 2026 and the Campus Ambassadors were selected. They were recognised in the Validictory and honoured during the program. The ambassadors will talk about safety and gender equality and also help other students when they need their assistance with regards to women safety and encouragement. This program encourages students to be leaders. Also, it promotes responsibility and support from peers on campus.

March 6, 2026

A drawing contest was held on March 6, 2026, and the theme was about gender equality and giving women more power. A lot of faculty and students took part in the competition. Participants showed off creative drawings that highlighted women’s achievements, courage, and strength. The artworks sent strong messages about respect and equality. The winners were awarded during the valedictory ceremony and the winners were appreciated for their creativity and meaningful presentation of the theme.

There was also a Reel Making Competition on March 6th, 2026. Students made short videos about women’s rights and gender equality. The reels had messages about respect, bravery, and women’s accomplishments. The contest pushed students to use digital media to share their thoughts.

There was a Walkathon and Campus Rally on March 6th, 2026, from 3:30 to 4:30 PM. The rally was attended by students, faculty members, and NSS volunteers. People who took part carried signs with messages that supported women’s rights and equal rights for all genders. The rally went through important parts of the campus. The activity made staff and students more aware. It also spread the message that women should be treated with respect and equality.

March- 9th, 2026

The celebrations concluded with the Final Celebration and Valedictory Programme on March 9, 2026 at 11:00 AM in the Auditorium, Dr. PCRKC, Apollo Knowledge City. The programme was attended by Smt. Katari Hemalatha, Chairperson of Chittoor Urban Development Authority (CHUDA), as the Chief Guest. She spoke about the importance of women’s empowerment in society. She appreciated the efforts of the organizers in conducting meaningful activities for students. She shared the example of the Apollo Group. She said Dr. Prathap C. Reddy started Apollo Hospitals with a great vision, and today his daughters continue that vision as strong leaders whom he proudly calls “Sree Shakti.” She said their leadership reflects the power of women when families trust and encourage them. She also encouraged students to work with villages and create awareness about sanitation and hygiene. She requested students, especially girls, to participate in the Swachh Andhra Mission to help build a clean and healthy Andhra Pradesh. She also highlighted the importance of women’s health and preventive care for building strong families and a healthy society.

Dr. Parvathi Bhat, Former Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), attended the Valedictory Programme as the Guest of Honour. She spoke about the importance of women’s health, education, and leadership in society. She encouraged students to work with dedication and confidence. She also emphasized respect, compassion, and responsibility in professional life. Her address inspired students to value equality and contribute positively to society.

During the valedictory programme, the winners of the competitions were honoured and received their prizes. The organizers appreciated the active participation of students and faculty members. The Campus Ambassadors were also formally recognized on the stage. They were honoured for their role and commitment. They accepted their responsibilities to promote awareness and equality on the campus. A pledge was also taken during the valedictory programme. The formal ceremony was followed by a vibrant cultural performance. The International Women’s Day celebrations at Apollo college of Nursing were meaningful and successful. The programmes created awareness about women’s rights and safety. The activities encouraged creativity, responsibility, and participation. The celebrations also promoted respect and equality within the campus community. The events truly reflected the spirit of the theme “Give to Gain: Committed to Forging Gender Equality.” The programmes also supported the message of the AP State Women’s Commission initiative “Honouring the Warrior Within.

ACLS workshop commenced on 10th March 2026, from 8:45 AM to 5:30 PM.

  • The resource person for the workshop was Dr. Vikram Sarangan from the Emergency Department of Manipal Hospitals.
  • The primary objective of the workshop was to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to respond to cardiovascular emergencies, providing a comprehensive understanding of ACLS principles, algorithms, and procedures.
  • Students were divided into small groups and provided with valuable hands-on experience, along with updated theoretical knowledge. The interactive sessions included simulations, case discussions, and practical exercises.

We successfully observed TB Day at ZP Hall, with enthusiastic participation from our students, as well as those from Aragonda Apollo, RVS & Cheelapalli CMC colleges. The event was graced by esteemed dignitaries:

They received their certificates from Dr. Venkata Prasad, District DVLT Officer. The auditorium was enriched by their talent and enthusiasm.

The Apollo College of Nursing, Chittoor, successfully conducted the Graduation Ceremony on 23rd January 2026 at Dr. PCRKC Auditorium, Apollo University (TAU).

  • The programme commenced at 2.00 PM with a prayer song and lamp lighting by the college choir, followed by the Apollo Anthem, creating a solemn and auspicious atmosphere.

  • The Welcome Address was delivered by Dr. Jinto Mathew, Vice Principal, who warmly welcomed the dignitaries, faculty members, graduates, and guests.

  • The College Report was presented by Dr. Jinto Mathew, highlighting the academic achievements, clinical excellence, and institutional milestones of the college.

  • The Chief Guest Address was delivered by Dr. H. Vinod Bhat, Vice Chancellor, TAU, who inspired the graduates through his insightful and motivating speech. The Guest of Honour Address was given by Dr. Ranganath BG, Medical Superintendent, DHH-AIMSR, emphasizing professional ethics, dedication, and commitment in nursing practice.

  • The Dr. P. C. Reddy Medal, along with awards for Best Clinical Performer and Class Topper, was distributed by the Chief Guest. A token of gratitude was presented to DHH-AIMSR by the students of the 2020 batch.

  • Graduates Ms. K Lekhya & Mr. Ganesh shared their experiences during the feedback session, expressing heartfelt gratitude towards the management and faculty members.

The Apollo College of Nursing, Chittoor organized a day 01 State-Level Workshop titled “Basic Neaonatal Resuscitation Program” on 30th March,2026 at Dr.Prathap.C.Reddy Knowledge Centre Auditorium. The program mainly focused on updating participants on neonatal resuscitation protocols, strengthening hands-on skills, and improving decision-making during emergency situations, ultimately contributing to the reduction of neonatal morbidity and mortality.

  • The workshop commenced with a prayer song by the college choir, setting a solemn and spirited tone.

  • This was followed by a pre-test conducted by Mrs.Vanisree, Clinical Instructor to assess the baseline knowledge of the participants.

Apollo College of Nursing, Chittoor organized the “Basic Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) Training of Trainers (TOT)’’Program(Day 02) on 31st March,2026, to provide intensive skill-based training and orientation for participants. The schedule was designed to strengthen practical competencies, enhance teaching abilities, and prepare participants to independently conduct NRP training programs

  • Recap of day 1 workshop by Dr.Rajesh,Prof,Head Dept of Pediatrics, reinforcing previously learned concepts
