Admission Criteria
M.Sc. Nursing 2-Year Course
- Entrance Exam:
- The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board (WBJEEB) conducts an OMR-based Common Entrance Test (JEMScN) for admission to various colleges/institutes in West Bengal.
- Minimum Education:
- Candidates must have passed the B.Sc. Nursing examination from any INC-recognized institution and obtained registration from the State Nursing Council of any state in India.
- Candidates must have secured at least 55% marks in aggregate in B.Sc. Nursing, B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing, Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing, Post Basic B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing, or Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing through distance education.
- Work Experience:
- Candidates currently employed by the West Bengal State Government must have at least 3 years of uninterrupted/regularized experience in government service as of the last date of application.
- Candidates employed in the private sector must have at least 1 year of experience after the publication of the final result and by the last date of application.
- Age Limit:
- For West Bengal State Government employees: Maximum age of 53 years as of the last date of application.
- For others: No upper age limit.
- Domicile Requirement:
- Reserved category candidates must be domiciled in West Bengal.
- Citizenship:
- Students must be citizens of India.
- Medical Fitness:
- Candidates must be medically fit.
Admission Process

The Offline Entrance Examination is conducted by WBJEEB.

Seat allotment is done through e-central counseling based on the rank score in the entrance examination and the candidate’s choice.
