Admission Criteria
Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing 2-Year Course
- Entrance Exam: WBJEEB conducts the OMR-based Common Entrance Test (JEPBN) for admission to various colleges/institutes in West Bengal for the Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing course.
- Minimum Education:
- Must have passed the GNM examination from any INC-recognized institution.
- Must have obtained registration from the State Nursing Council of any state in India.
- Work Experience:
- For West Bengal State Government employees: At least 3 years of uninterrupted/regularized qualifying experience in government service as of the last date of application.
- Work experience is not required for others.
- Age:
- West Bengal State Government employees: Must not be older than 53 years as of the last date of application.
- Others: No upper age limit.
- Domicile Requirement: Reserved category candidates must be domiciles of West Bengal.
- Medical Fitness: Candidates must be medically fit.
- Citizenship: Candidates must be citizens of India.
Admission Process
- The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board conducts the offline entrance examination for all nursing courses.
- Seat allotment is done through e-Central Counseling based on merit and the candidate's choice.
