Admission Criteria

Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing 2-Year Course

  1. Entrance Exam: WBJEEB conducts the OMR-based Common Entrance Test (JEPBN) for admission to various colleges/institutes in West Bengal for the Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing course.
  2. Minimum Education:
    • Must have passed the GNM examination from any INC-recognized institution.
    • Must have obtained registration from the State Nursing Council of any state in India.
  3. Work Experience:
    • For West Bengal State Government employees: At least 3 years of uninterrupted/regularized qualifying experience in government service as of the last date of application.
    • Work experience is not required for others.
  4. Age:
    • West Bengal State Government employees: Must not be older than 53 years as of the last date of application.
    • Others: No upper age limit.
  5. Domicile Requirement: Reserved category candidates must be domiciles of West Bengal.
  6. Medical Fitness: Candidates must be medically fit.
  7. Citizenship: Candidates must be citizens of India.
